SPIKE AND JET- COWBOY BEBOP FAN ART

A little bit of fan art from one of my favorite shows. This was a gift to a friend. I have a very American art style, it was fun to try to translate some anime characters to fit my style. Spike's hair came out weird, but the spikey anime hair just makes no sense to me. Ein the Corgi came out okay. One of my better dogs, but not great.

Been enjoying doing fan art and homages lately. There will probably be more of those to come.

HOWARD THE DUCK AND A CRUST PUNK ANT

Some recent work. Tiki Howard the Duck I made my friend for his birthday, and a crust punk ant drinking coffee that might go for another label.

POKEMON AND CAVEMEN

Two very silly comics I did. I rarely do stuff under a page, and the caveman comic is one of my only 3 panel comics in recent memory.

As for the Pokemon one, I watched Pokemon as a child, and am one of those hated Pokemon go players. There's some very wrong with the idea of a child running around making animals fight each other that just seems to be an accepted part of the Pokemon story. And he doesn't require an education for some reason? What about like, getting a job someday?

I assume Pokemon lore explains this stuff at some point. But you know, fuck it. Thought it was worth making fun of.

Donald Dump

I know, I know. Real mature.

Me with a mustache

A self portrait of me with a mustache.

ORANGUTAN AND BLUE-CROWNED MOTMOT

Two paintings on some scrap wood. Left is an orangutan, right is a blue-crowned motmot. They were both fast projects, though the orangutan only took an hour or two. I made a wire wrapping to suspend each painting for display.

FENGUS IN A BLUE SHIRT WITH FIRE LIGHTNING

Why is he wearing the blue shirt? I really don't know.

An aspect of Fengus we've been discussing for a long time is fire lighting. Fengus appearing through a rip in time/space, in an explosion of fire lightning. I intend to get something to this effect tattooed on my back. Fire lightning has proven to be very difficult to capture though. This is maybe my best attempt at it yet.
