The Omnipitivore. The reason everything falls apart, the living incarnation of time and entropy. One of the Cosmic Fervum characters, Along with the Meglapede, Fengus, The great Deceiver and a bunch of others.

I did this painting in 24 hours. First time I've worked that fast in a while, it felt really good. I feel like I cheated though. In the painting the colors were much more muted. I edited the painting so that the colors had more pop because I didn't like the photo.

The Party

This is a painting I actually finished a while ago, but I don't believe I ever got around to posting. It's based on a sketch from a pen and paper RPG, the first one I played in my adult life actually. This is our party sneaking through a sewer to invade a haunted castle. My character, the Half Orc on the left, is in the midst of being possessed by an idol to ancient gods I found. Good times.

FRIENDS

Old painting I gifted to some friends years ago.

CLONES

Design stuff for a new comic. Here's some useless background information: Far left is the laborers, marked by their one eye. Far right is the soliders, with two eyes and well armed. The middle is the leader.

DRAWLLOWEEN

A project that somehow ended up taking up a lot of time. It's called Drawlloween I guess. A few of mine had to be redone, but I'm really happy how a lot of this came out. Got to bust out my markers too, a rare treat as a comic maker, or whatever the fuck I am.

Patient Praying Mantis

Two unfinished pictures of the Patient Praying Mantis. First is him in the role of Shiva the Destroy. Second is him drinking coffee downtown. Will post the finished version soon.

SPERBLE ELITE GRAPHIC NOVEL!

I have finally completed my graphic novel! After nearly ten years of work IT IS DONE. I'm selling it for 10 dollars in store, five in person. Making some decent progress on getting these out there, but I've got more then 500 to sell! Even completing a comic leads to much more work if you publish independently. But I am thrilled to have this book in the world.

DARTH MAUL, BUT LAMER

At work we were watching the Phantom Menace, and started a discussion on Darth Maul. Someone told me that his facial markings are not due to him  being an alien, that he's an alien who tattooed his face to look cool and scary. This just added to how silly I've always found him. His character is trying so hard to be cool that it makes him incredibly lame. Like a 90's goth kid.

So, my co-workers and I came up with 90's rebellious teenage Darth Maul. Something about this just cracks me up to no end. And so, as you can see, I drew him.

REVERSIBLE

New Painting, a little inspired by Jim Woodring http://jimwoodring.blogspot.com/, most particularly his jivas
I actually have one of his illustrations tattooed. I heard his Jivas were representations of people's souls and he used to make them on commission. So I sent Mr. Woodring a description of myself and he drew my soul, which I have on my arm.
Anyways, this painting is reversible.

FACE-OFF!

I had been threatening to do a big collage of Nic Cage faces for a while. Well it finally happened...

ALL THE CHARACTERS

A while back I posted this painting of many of my characters. It's my largest and most detailed painting to date. Here's a GIF of it's creation:

I recently found this sketch I had done breaking down all the characters show. I'd gotten the idea from The Beatle's album cover for Sargent Pepper I think.

JARED'S SILLY AVENGERS

I gave the Avenger's a shot recently. My art style doesn't fit mainstream comics at all, but it was a fun attempt. The only one that came out very well was Antman.

I feel like nobody ever draws Kirby Style Hulk, but I really like his original design.
Thor's stressed out expression cracks me up.

"...HAVE YOU MET SPOT?"

A follow up to my previous Star Trek the Next Generation comic, which can be found here:

I wanted to use Data and Geordi, who didn't make it into my last comic. In the end though, it's really about Data's cat Spot.

A few years ago my friend gave me a bunch of Prisma pens. They're great tools, but I suck with color, especially pens for some reason. Can never get the smoothness I want. Anyways, this one came out pretty good, one of the better images I got with them. My paisley could use some work.

OLD AND NEW

Working at a Video store, I chance upon all kinds of great images. This was a movie with the same name as the villain of my comic, The Sperble Elite. Couldn't pass up the chance to alter it.

Oh, Johny Depp would NOT be my choice for Nick of Time by the way. That would suck.

Here are my two most recent zines. Jub, my fast food experiences and advice. The other is my examination of the Fast and Furious series.  I call these two zines together the America Studies. I hope to do a third when I come up with another great, shameful aspect of American culture.

This my the cover for my first attempt at a zine from high school. I never got anywhere with the zine, but I love this cover

An illustration from an RPG my friend ran. Our party tromping though the sewers.

SLOW AND METHODICAL

Working on my newest Zine. It's a analysis of all the Fast and the Furious movies. I'd never seen any of this nonsense before, it's been an interesting experience diving into this cesspool of testosterone and insanity.
Here's a color version of the cover.

TEQUILA SUMMER OF MAN LOVE

The title page for a new autobiographic comic I'm working on. It tells the story of a summer of hard manual labor and heavy drinking. This is a picture of my buddies van driving through Wyoming.

HUNGRY KNIGHT

THE HUNGRY KNIGHT
I never thought I would have succeeded in a feudal world, or in the past in general. In what many of us now see as the GAME OF THRONES era, success would take a great deal to achieve. I love a good sword fight as much as the next person, but I really lack ambition. I couldn't murder a stranger, or poison my brother, or start a war because someone dishonored me. Hell, I can't bring myself to believe in honor. I totally have the wrong mentality for such a world, and, in all likelihood end up plowing the fields, or maybe being one of those guys that sat along the side of the road waiting to die of the plague.

That's what I've always thought. Recently though, something occurred to me. I have this incredible appetite. It's a little nuts. I can normally eat myself into bursting pain four or five times a day and still require a full night of beer and quesadillas to be content. I don't know why, it's just the way I am. This unhealthy metabolism might have led me to great things in a feudal system.

See, back then, it was really easy to starve. This might seem obvious, but it's really not much of a factor in my world. I've been completely poor, been homeless, and still always managed to find food (and normally booze). Normally you can just look at the ground until you find change for a fast food sandwich. There's enough food in your average dumpster to feed anyone and it's normally not even gross. So, food has never been a huge motivator for me. Sure, I've been bummed on eating shit food. I've had my stomach hurt from lack of food. But I've never even gone a whole day without eating.

In a feudal world though, everyone but the rich were generally very close to starving. Even if were at pretty successful average person you were probably deficient in a lot of regards, and always in need of nutrition you couldn't get. Only the top, most successful people were well fed. I think this might have given me the ambition I lack in a modern world. I would have been forced to succeed to fill my gut. That might make me a much more efficient and successful guy.
And So I present a view at what I might have become in a different time: THE HUNGRY KNIGHT, SEEKER OF THE ETERNAL BREAKFAST

Just wanted to say that I did like no research for this. I accidently read a few lines of the 'feudalism' wikipedia, but that's it. So this could all be bullshit, and everyone in the past ate really well or something. Probably not though.

STAR TREK

Here's a Star Trek The Next Generation comic I made for my co-worker. It's my first ever fan comic like this. I really enjoyed doing it, I might make more in this style. Short, silly comics about something I love.

ART SHOW

A flyer for a show my girlfriend's band Holler Tree is playing, with my Artwork hanging as well. Already did another flyer this week, so I wanted to do something simple. Really liked the way  it came out.
If you want to hear Holler Tree here's their soundcloud:
